Walk on

A European journey

You long for something meaningful. Or something enjoyable. You feel you have to fill a gap. Something to forget yourself. So you have chosen a podcast. Or a playlist. So you put on your headphones. Before you head to the tram. Before you go for a run. While you sit in a cafe over coffee and cake. Or while you vacuum.

What if there is nothing to gain with your headphones on? But to lose. To lose the present. The sound of cars. Birds. The chatter of people. Or even the sound of your vacuum cleaner. The sound of your life. With every sense necessary to capture this life. That very moment. A moment that will never return.

You say that the sound of a vacuum cleaner is nothing you want to hear. And that you don’t want to listen to chatter. That there is nothing worth remembering. Nothing of value.

You’d better listen.
